Hi there, My name is…

Schuyler Berry

I am a Senior at Seattle Pacific University earning dual undergraduate degrees in Global Development Studies and Spanish Language. As a member and co-captain of SPU’s women’s basketball team, I balance my passion for athletics with my academic and professional pursuits. As a Global Development major, I am deeply interested in nonprofit work that works to address issues such as homelessness, community development, and immigration. I have taken many interesting classes while at SPU, including: Homelessness in America, International Law, Management in the Nonprofit Sector, and Community Development. In addition to my academic work, I have gained valuable experience in Washington State’s political system, working as a fundraiser for the Washington Community Action Network and as an intern for Manka Dhingra’s campaign for Attorney General.

Originally from Portland, Oregon, I grew up with my parents brother, and an array of dogs, spending much of my time outdoors camping, hiking, and skiing with my family. I now live in Magnolia, Seattle with my roommate Lolo and our black cat Louis Vuitton (Louis, for short). At just over a year old, Louis is thoroughly spoiled with treats, toys, and cuddles.

While basketball and school take up the majority of my time, I also walk and care for dogs as a part-time job on the Rover app. After graduation, I hope to stay in Seattle to gain professional experience before I pursue a graduate degree in public policy.
